Joined the practice in 1998 as a design engineer and since that time has worked on a variety of projects primarily as a Structural engineer. In 2009 purchased half the practice from Peter Yttrup and in 2016 became the sole director. Nathan is now involved in client relationships, design work and preparation of reports, particularly relating to damaged buildings.
Graduated in 1994 from the University of Ballarat with an Honours degree in Civil Engineering.
Jeff has been with Yttrup since his undergraduate days in 1999. Approaching 20 years of experience in delivering our core services including structural design and documentation of domestic, industrial and commercial structures, civil design and documentation of roads and bridges, Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) and geotechnical investigation, analysis and reporting.
Past projects include the design, documentation and construction supervision of multi-storey office buildings with basement carparks and shoring wall systems and the design of structures on extremely reactive ground.
Graduated in 2001 from Monash University with a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering.
Joined the practice in 2016 to manage the geotechnical team. Has over 10 years’ experience in civil and mining geotechnics. Specialises in Landslide Risk Assessments and draws on experience managing slope failures in operational mining environments. Recent projects include subdivision geotechnics on numerous developments throughout Geelong, Landslide Risk Assessments for the Wye River and Separation Creek re-build and pavement investigations and design for local Councils.
Graduated in 2006 from the Griffith University Gold Coast with a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering and the University Medal. In 2015 completed a Masters in Engineering Science (Geotechnical) at the University of New South Wales.
Joined the practice in 2017 working as a project Structural and Civil engineer. Has over 10 years private industry and public-sector engineering and project/contract management experience, in both construction and manufacturing. Past projects include extensive residential construction as well as medium to large scale commercial and industrial, mixed use and high-rise developments, bridge and road construction, boating facilities, refurbishments and civil works, primarily in Australia but also in Ireland. Graduated in 2006 from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering.
Joined the practice in 2016 and has been assisting with supervision of earthworks projects, geotechnical investigations, design and damage building assessments. Graduated in 2015 from the Deakin University Geelong with an honours degree in Civil Engineering.
Founded P.J. Yttrup and Associates in 1981 following stints in construction and with State Rivers working on major dam projects and 8 years as a lecturer at Deakin University. Peter has particular interest in timber and geotechnical engineering with numerous published papers covering extensive topics. He was a pioneer in the design and testing of steel screw piles.
While no longer working full time Peter remains available to clients and staff in a mentoring role and to accept special commissions.
Joined the practice in 2002 and has been responsible for geotechnical drilling, field and laboratory testing. Experience includes earthworks supervision, geotechnical field work for Land Capability Assessments, Landslide Risk Assessments, Pavement Investigation, Site Classification and assisting with damaged building assessments.
First joined the practice in 1985 as junior draftsman and has since worked in various roles including drafting, site investigations, supervision and laboratory testing. Has extensive experience in structural and civil drafting and is also a registered building practitioner.
Cathy first joined the practice in 2007 and after a short stint working part time re-joined in 2016 on a full-time basis. Responsible for all administration including payroll, invoicing and banking, reception and job management.
