- This award winning centre is constructed at the base of Uluru within the bounds of the Katajuka national park. The engineering for this project required sensitivity to the environment along with consideration of the remoteness of the site and the cost of importing materials.
The two main buildings of the complex were constructed from mudbricks sourced from desert sands from the site, stabilised earth floors and termite resistant timbers.
Civil works include the design of bus & carpark pavements and site drainage taking into account the unique restrictions imposed by the sensitive nature of the site.
